This Arctic Silver metallic 1998 993 Turbo comes equipped with the rare factory WLS2 power kit, short for Werksleistungssteigerung, or “works performance increase.” The upgrade raises output from the standard 408 horsepower to 450, matching the most powerful 993 variants, the Turbo S and GT2. The standard K16 turbochargers are replaced with larger K24 unit and additional factory oil cooling to manage the added power and heat. Fewer than 300 cars were built with this kit, and for homologation reasons it was never offered on cars sold new in the United States, Canada, or Japan. This is a rare opportunity to buy a WLS2 in the US. The interior was specially ordered in Anthracite Buffalo leather straight from the BMW catalog! This is a first for me; I’ve never seen this factory option before!
